It was the crowning highlight of a joint research project between universities and several companies active in the tunneling business that started back in 2017. <\/strong><strong>JES Managing Director Ren\u00e9 Jung and Project Manager Georg Lienbacher now have the professional skills of an &#8220;Academic Tunnel Safety Expert&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Austria we have many<\/p>\n<p>In \u00d6sterreich gibt es eine Vielzahl von Unternehmen, die \u00fcber eine hohe Spezialisierung und innovative Technologien f\u00fcr den Bau und Betrieb von Tunnelbauwerken verf\u00fcgen. F\u00fcr eine ganzheitliche Sicherheitsl\u00f6sung und vernetzte Systeme sind jedoch Wissen und Know-How \u00fcber die gesamte Prozesskette erforderlich, da Sicherheit im Tunnel ein Querschnittsthema ist: nicht nur Bauwerk und Ausr\u00fcstung, sondern auch die Benutzer und deren Fahrzeuge und ebenso das Betriebs- und Notfallmanagement sind eng miteinander verflochten.<\/p>\n<p>Ziel des Projektes \u201eTUSI \u2013 Tunnelsicherheit in Bau und Betrieb\u201c war es daher, durch eine zertifizierte Ausbildung Innovationskompetenzen in Unternehmen, welche in Planung, Bau und Betrieb von Tunnelbauwerken involviert sind, zu st\u00e4rken und in weiterer Folge die Sicherheit w\u00e4hrend des gesamten Lebenszyklus zu erh\u00f6hen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Pilotlehrgang umfasste 19 Partner aus Wissenschaft und Industrie \u2013 die Montanuniversit\u00e4t Leoben, Lehrstuhl f\u00fcr Subsurface Engineering mit Univ.-Prof. Robert Galler als Koordinator, Fogtec, NET-Automation, Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik, Sandvik, JES Elektrotechnik, Wimmer Felstechnik, Geoconsult, ILF Consulting Engineers, TU Graz, Dr\u00e4ger, Geodata, PORR, AQUASYS, D\u00fcrr Austria, IBS, Berufsfeuerwehr Linz, AUVA, FVT &#8211; und bestand aus 9 Modulen rund um die Planungs-, Bau- und Betriebsphase von Tunnelbauwerken. Neben theoretischen Einheiten wurde in den Modulen vor allem der Erfahrungsaustausch zwischen den innovativen Unternehmen der Branche in \u00d6sterreich erm\u00f6glicht, um neue Technologien und Prozesse f\u00fcr die Tunnelsicherheit zu f\u00f6rdern.<\/p>\n<p>Mit der Durchf\u00fchrung von Trainingseinheiten am Zentrum am Berg sowie von Transferprojekten sollte gesichert werden, dass das erlernte Wissen auch praktisch umgesetzt werden kann. Am Ende stand eine kommissionelle Pr\u00fcfung und eine Personenzertifizierung nach ISO 17024 Niveau 5.<\/p>\n<p>Als Fortf\u00fchrung des Projektes ist seitens der MU Leoben geplant einen
